FAQ for ClientTracker Desktop

  • How do I back up ClientTracker to keep my data safe?
  • How do I move my ClientTracker to another computer?
  • Can I start in the Desktop and move to the Cloud later?
  • Technical specifications for Windows
  • Technical specifications for Mac
Q: How do I back up ClientTracker to keep my data safe?

A:  We recommend backing up your data in two ways. First, close your ClientTracker at the end of every day.  This automatically backs up to the ClientTracker backup folder on your computer.  Second, you must make an external backup to a separate hard drive, USB (a.k.a. "flash") drive, or to a  recordable CD/DVD, or the internet.  Click here for detail instructions in our manual.

Q: How do I move my ClientTracker to another computer?

A: While it is not difficult to move ClientTracker, we recommend having someone with technical skills assist you if it seems beyond your abilities. Click Here for detailed instructions in our manual.
Q: Can I start in the Desktop and move to the Cloud later?

A: YES! We have many people who either started in the desktop version before we released the cloud or chose to start in the desktop version and decided they needed the flexibility of the cloud later. Contact us to find out how we can help you go to the cloud.
